The issue
Users of Apple iOS 6 were disappointed to find that the YouTube app is no longer pre-installed on there devices (iPhone 5, iPad 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 5, iPad 3, iPad 2). How comes this peculiar issue and how to fix it?
Reason
The issue is related to the increasingly sour relations with Google. Apple announced that they will not be including YouTube in their upcoming operating system release. This marks the first time since 2007, when the first version of the iPhone came out, that YouTube will not be included with the operating system.

iOS 6 users can watch YouTube in Safari browser and add YouTube website to home screen. However, considering YouTube videos playback in Safari requires Adobe Flash Player to be installed, this method is not a workable solution at all.
With time goes on, we believe that there will be more YouTube app choices, free or paid and will equipped with more functions and features which will make iOS 6 users to watch YouTube videos easier, with high definition and even off line.
Apple now is as bad as Microsoft , they take away something that was easy to use and give you a complicated piece of crap.
The problem with the first method is that you can’t instal adobe flash player on the iPad. So I can’t even watch it in my browser anymore. I used to be able to.
Thanks for the comments. Currently, there is no way to install Adobe Flash Player on iOS 6 devices. Though suggested by Apple in a statement, this solution is almost impossible to watch YouTube on iOS 6.
I was a loyal apple customer. Not any more. You obviously don’t care about what your customers want anymore. I won’t be buying any more of your products.
I have a iPad 4th Gen running iOS 6.0.1 I believe and youtube works fine in the browswer.. Plus downloading the YouTube app is a really good idea too.
Don’t quite on apple!
Forget the first step.
Apple have removed the YouTube app altogether from the App Store.
Ridiculous!
I agree very upset
It’s not that they’ve removed it, it’s still there but only in the iphone section, which means if we want to watch anything on ipad all we get is the tiny iphone screen
Terrible. Get the YouTube app back ASAP. I will stop buying from your companies. Why take it away when so easy. We don’t even have adobe flash player, done..
I have moved to Galaxy. Now I don’t use any Apple product anymore.
Why did you remove YouTube? Please return it or at least make it available in the App Store. This is not good. You have a huge control over things anyway. Let us use it or a flash player at least.
Darlene, I totally agree with you.
My daughter is 2.5 years old and used to see her favourite cartoons on youtube. Now we have frustration and dissapointment and a daddy wo cannrot fix it. Bas publicity for Apple.
Actually I have same situation with you. Now I have to downloaded the cartoons from YouTube and convert to iPad friendly format. Though a little bit trouble, my daught can watch her favorites joyfully.
