Step-by-Step guide to Download and convert YouTube to Import YouTube to Final Cut Pro/Express

Install and launch it.
Step 1: Download YouTube videos
In Wondershare Uniconverter (Video Converter Ultimate), click on the “Download” tab and use the built-in web browser to find and play the YouTube video you want to import to Final Cut Pro/Express. When “Download” icon appear on the top-right corner, click it to start download. The downloading status will show in the download task list.
Step 2: Convert YouTube to Final Cut Pro/Express format video
When download is finished in step one, on the downloaded video, press Ctrl and click the mouse to open the context menu. Click “Convert to” option. You will be lead to the “Convert” tab.
In the “Convert” tab window, click the double up-arrow at the bottom of this program’s pane, and then choose Final Cut Pro or Final Cut Express supported video format.
To convert YouTube for import to Final Cut Pro, under “Editing” category, choose format output as “Final Cut Pro” or “ProRes”, “ProRes HQ”, “ProRes LT”
To convert YouTube for import to iMovie, under “Editing” category, just choose format output as “iMovie”
Step 3: Start YouTube to Final Cut Pro/Express conversion
When everything is set, just hit the “Convert” button on the bottom right of the program window to start converting YouTube to Final Cut Pro/Express
Step 4: Import to add YouTube to Final Cut Pro/Express
Run Final Cut Pro/Express, then import the downloaded YouTube video to FCP by clicking File > Import > Files… at the top of the Final Cut Pro window.
